1. Use a tripod! A flat surface will only allow you to shoot straight, and shooting the moon means that you'll be shooting up and constantly re-adjusting the tripod as the moon moves throughout the night. 2. Use a shutter release cord, remote or the camera's self timer if you don't have one, so that you don't move the camera when pressing the shutter release during a long exposure. 3. Use a zoom lens and zoom in as much as you can to the moon. It's okay if it's not a super fancy lens, this was shot using a 15 year old $100 lens. Focus in on the craters and details on the moon. 4. ISO 1250- 1600, so that you can use as fast a shutter speed as you can without losing detail-the longer the shutter speed, the more chances you have the camera will shake even slightly in the wind, resulting in an out of focus photograph. 5. Aperture priority of f/5.6 since you are not worried about capturing any details other then the moon. 6. Bracket your exposure, meaning over expose and underexpose the photograph from what the camera is telling you. Generally the camera will overexpose the moon, so you'll get nothing but a white blob in the sky. Use the exposure compensation button (the +/- button below the shutter release) and change the exposure to -0.5, then -1.0, then -1.5 and so on, until you start seeing detail in the moon. You may go as far as -5.0 exposure compensation to get what you need. 7. Take a fair amount of photos and keep refocusing as the night progresses. The photographs may look focused on the camera's display, but you won't really see if they're completely in focus until you upload them onto your computer screen.

Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/1,000
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/640
Principles of Art
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/500
This balance because it has the same thing on each side of the painting but yet different. If you look at the photo you can see that they are both the same but different. The shape and structure are the same but they are yet different. This was successful because I got a photo of two different but yet the same things.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/1,250
This is proportion because you can see there is a size difference between these two subjects. You can see that one is taller than the other. One is smaller than the other subject. This was a successful photo because it has a clear visual of who is taller and smaller.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/80
This is rhythm because it has the same repetition. If you look closely you can see all the lines are the same. Evenly spaced and shaped and they all are the same color. This photo was successful because each line is the same as the next and before.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/500
This is emphasis because the jacket stands out. The jacket stands out from the background which is white. The gray stands out from the photo one of the first things you notice. This photo was successful because it has one main thing popping.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/1,250
This is harmony because you can see that there are elements in this photo. You can see there is a tree with a blue sky and the sun behind it. The tree has leafs are green and the sky is blue and the tree is brown. This is a successful photo because it has a mixture of different elements.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/3
This is variety because there is a bears head on a human body. The bear is squating something they don't normally do. The person who is working out has a bear head something we never see. This photo was successful because this is something you don't see every day.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/800
This is unity because everything is focused on one thing and color everything is black. The hat is black the jacket is black and the rope is black. Everything is works well together even the subjects hand as he reaches to get free. This photo is successful because everything works well together.
Elements of photography
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/320
This is line because in the center of the photo you can see two very clear lines. In this photo you can see in the center it has a hight focus on the two lines in the center. These two lines intersect each other making four lines if you will. This photo is successful because you can clearly see the two or four lines.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/320
This is color because in this photo you can see many different shades of color. There are many colors in this photo even though they are the same colors they are different shades of that color. Even thought there are many colors each and every one of these colors go well with one another. This photo is successful because the color of this picture stands out and in my opinion the first thing you notice are the colors.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/250
This is shape because if you look closely you can see a cycle in the center. In the very center of the photo you can see the circle very clearly. If you look closely the outer line is also a circle. This photo is successful because it has one main shape in the center of the photo.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/800
This is form because you can see the form off two people. The form of this photo is very easy to see it's what stands out in the whole photo. It's like an actual picture of two people but just there shadow. This photo is successful because is very clearly to see the form of two people.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/60
This is texture because you can closely see the turtler of the tree in this photo. This photo is texture because the see has many different bumps and shapes leaving it with a hard texture. There first thing you will notice other than it's a true is its's unclose texture of the tree. This is a successful photo because the texture of the tree is very on poi on and easy to see.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/1,250
This is space because you can see that there is space between the arm and the parking lot. You can see that there is focus on the bracelet but not the parking lot. You can also see that the are is close up and the parking lot is further down. This is a successful photo because you can see there is space in between these two objects.
Aperture f/8, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/50
This is value because you can see the lightness and darkness of the leafs. You can see very closely the darkness of the leaf in the center of the photo as the outer layer is lighter. You can also each leaf is either darker or lighter than the other leaf. This photo is successful because you can see the Darkness of the leaf and the lightness of the leaf.
RESPECT
In this photo I took, I was trying to shower the Respect for this country. I took this picture to show others that we should have respect for this country of ours. This flag is a symbol of Hope, Honor, Freedom, and more. I was trying to show respect and love for our country. Many men and women give their lives for this country, I believe it's only right for us to show respect to those who have died defending this country. Therefore I wanted this picture to show that my Model Louis respected and continues to respect his country. This picture is all about respect. I took this picture On Rancho buena Vista. The male model Louis is a Student carrying The American Flag. It was to show the respect for the country and the school. Carrying the flag around a school campus was a sign of respect and love for this school which happens to be in America. I wanted this picture to show respect and what that means to others and what it should mean to those who don't understand or don't respect this country. I wanted to show this country is much more than we think it is, Home of The Free and Land of The Love.

1. I took all these pictures on a tripod, in a dark room, with manual focus. My partner used glowsticks, and a cellphone app. 2. The struggles i had with the light painting was speed and timing. I had trouble with speed because I would Either going to slow or to fast. 3. Where to take the photo. How you wanna take this picture. Set the camera to manual. 4. I could have done a better job into planning a idea for my picture.
Shutter Speed Notes
The shutter inside your camera controls the duration.
Capturing blur or notion in your photograph can emphasize movement.
A slower shutter speed can be used to show more motion.
As a general rule to prevent unintentional camera shake you should avoid holding your digital cameras.
Layering motions of a different subject can set interesting dynamics.
1/1000 second or faster should freeze most motion.
Slower shutter speed can help the idea with motion.
Brothers Of Destruction
Aperture f/1.8, Shutter Speed 1/2000th of a second, ISO 200
Agent Hulk and Abomination brothers since birth. They were given a task to take down a enemy that was causing chaos to the world, So agent Hulk and Abomination were given the task to take him down, right away Hulk was all game but Abomination had for some reason a bad feeling about this mission.
Aperture f/1.8, Shutter Speed 1/2000th of a second, ISO 200
As Hulk and Abomination were walking, Abomination felt a bad presents coming ahead. While Agent Hulk was still looking forward to a good fight. Both brother are always looking to compete with each other, they are always trying to prove who is the better agent, who can take down more enemies.
Aperture f/8, Shutter Speed 1/100th of a second, ISO 100
Suddenly...... Both agents stop.... As they stop they scene a presents but they could not see it. A cold brezze blows across their faces. They look up and BOOM!!!!!! They see their task their mission in front of them both brothers are suddenly scared but don't shown their fear to their enemy.
Aperture f/8, Shutter Speed 1/100th of a second, ISO 100
Right away Hulk looked for a weak spot to take down this threat, while Abomination froze out of fear he could not move nor think nor act nor speak. Agent Hulk was fast to knock his brother out of this. Both brothers under their breathe thought of a plan to take down this enemy.
Aperture f/16, Shutter Speed 1/25th of a second, ISO 200
Abomination wanted to run back to base and think of a better plan, that plan was quickly pushed away by Hulk. Hulk had thought he had found a weak spot. He looked at his hands and said under his breathe "He can't close his fist so he can't hit us all he can do is try and stab us" which would not work because both brothers skins were very think full of scar tissue.
Aperture f/1.8, Shutter Speed 1/2000th of a second, ISO 200
Hulk was quick to engage, as he does so The Joker was quick and grab Hulk and chocked him, well as his brother came to helpHulk defeat him, Abomination quickly to rush to his brothers aid. It was clear to see from both brothers they were no match for The Joker, but both brother would not give up that easy. Abomination quick thought of a plan, he had remembered he was a walking Nuclear bomb. Abomination would not survive the blast but his bother could survive the blast. Abomination knew it would be the only way they could defeat The Joker. Abomination release his Nuclear bomb inside himself killing Both him and The Joker also killing agent Hulk.
Cyanotype
Cyanotype is a blue print of photo. 1792 – 1871 was when this invention was made. John Herschel the inventor of Cyanotype. You would take an image and let it sit in sun light and the you would take that image and soak it in potassium ferricyanide. After it is soaked it will be a bright blue color with your image on it.
Daguerreotype
Daguerreotype was the early photograph. The creators of this invention were Louis Daguerre Nicéphore Niépce. Iodine-sensitized silvered plate and mercury vapor. It is very poisonous way to take photos. those who often came in contact with it often were killed. To make a daguerreotype you used a silver plate and mercury.
Aperture Priority
Aperture f/1.8, Shutter Speed 1/2000th of a second, ISO 200
Aperture f/8, Shutter Speed 1/100th of a second, ISO 100
Aperture f/16, Shutter Speed 1/25th of a second, ISO 200
In each of the three photos, you can see that in every photo the picture becomes more clear. In the very top photo you can see that only one box is very clear, well as the others are blurred out. As you can see the second photo now you can see that now there are two boxes that are clear because the apeture was higher the photo became more clear capturing more. In the last photo you are now able to see each box clear because the Aperture was rasied allowing the camera to capture more but also making the photo and all it captured more clear.
Aperture Notes
Change of depth (aperture)
Make subject clear
Aperture is key
Alter light (shutter speed)
Lens closes to block out more light
The smaller the f-size, the larger the lens
Smaller aperture for deeper depth
Depth defield is controlled by aperture
Shallow depth defield= smaller aperture
Smaller depth defield= larger aperture
Larger depth defield = smaller aperture
DSLR Digital Single Reflex A DSLR is a digital camera that uses mirrors to direct light from. Exposure Exposure is the amount of light collected by the sensor in your camera during a single picture. If the shot is exposed too long the photograph will be washed out. If the shot is exposed too short the photograph will appear too dark. Almost all cameras today have lights meters which measures the light. Before you take the photo- Aperture/shutter speed/ISO Aperture in a camera- Simply put, aperture is a hole within a lens, through which light travels into the camera body. Size of the aperture- In photography aperture is expressed in f-numbers A smaller F-stop means a larger aperture while a larger F-stop means smaller aperture. Small Aperture- Small aperture increase the depth of field bringing both the main subject and the background. Large aperture soften background detail. DOF- Depth of Field Shutter speed- shutter speed also known as exposure time stands for the length of time a camera shutter is open to expose light into the camera sensor. If the shutter speed is slow it can create an effect called motion blur where moving objects become blurred. How shutter speeds are measured Shutter speed are typically measured in fractions of a second. Rule of thumb for shutter speed The slowest shutter speed for handheld photography. ISO ISO is the level of the sensitivity of your camera. The lower the iso number the less the sensitive it is to the light, while a higher iso number increases the sensitivity. General rule of thumb Bright and sunny 100 iso Cloudy 250 iso Indoors 500 iso Night time without flash 1600 iso Modes on the DSLR M-manual control over aperture and shutter A- Aperture priority S- Shutter priority P- camera sets shutter speed How to Hold a DSLR Have the camera straps around your neck at all times and Hold the camera by the lens and hand grip if possible treat with great care
Camera Obscura
Camera Obscura is when you go to a dark room, very dark room with a window and you cover that window with anything you want card bored or black bags and you mad a tiny hole and you will get whatever's outside on your wall upside down.
Surrealistic selfie 8/30/16
I I took this picture at the park. What I as trying to say in this picture was, I love to be outside all the time to explore and what not. What I was also trying to show was to be happy life's to short to be sad all the time so we should live it to the fullest. I love to go to the park and beach when I just need to be alone and think to myself. I also like going just to explore new things to see the world for it's natural beauty. Being outside is like being free and getting that fresh air and seeing all the amazing things around me.
When I took this picture I used pixlr to edit everything and to make the picture that much more better. I made the sides blurry to give it more focus on in the center. I also changed the color effect to make it look more like it was sunset. The lasting thing I did was shading I shaded around the edges and on the trees to make it look like the sun was going down and just to give it more of that wow kinda look I also added a frame and wrote a text.
